Sailors falling out of love with their ships, broken ponies leaving their stables, and a nostalgia for moments not yet experienced - Swiss based Indie / Art-Rock band Laddermen around Texas native and front man Leopold Oakes becomes the stage to unpack the city cowboy baggage.  

Moving effortlessly between melancholic Indie and Art-Rock, Laddermen gains comparisons to the likes of The Strokes, The Killers and Interpol. The band’s highly acclaimed debut album, Special Kind of Violence, charted at number 2 on iTunes Alternative Switzerland and was praised as “One of the most beautiful albums of 2021” by Tagesanzeiger.

On the heels of their debut release, Laddermen played a run of live shows crowned with an appearance at Wave Fest Rotterdam (NL) alongside German Post-Punk/Wave pioneers Pink Turns Blue. Laddermen’s new LP ‘Life Got Lame and Now You're Bored’ is out October 18th, 2024. It shows the band moving towards more melodic, catchy indie rock songs.
